Backyard Sunrise: It's Been a While

I didn’t realize just how much time had passed—almost five years since my last post here. Life has a way of moving quickly, even when the days themselves seem slow. For a while, I was sharing photos out on Facebook, but I don’t spend much time there anymore. The truth is, I’ve missed posting here. I’ve missed slowing down, looking out over the backyard, and capturing the quiet beauty that each morning brings.

Even though I haven’t been writing, I never really stopped noticing. I’ve still been taking pictures—some with the thought that I’d post them “soon,” others just because the sunrise was too good not to catch. So today, I’m finally adding a few of those photos. They’re scattered across seasons and years, but they all carry the same calm: the world waking up, the sky shifting, and the peace that always seems to settle in just before the day begins.

This morning, I didn’t make it outside with the camera—but the sky looked pretty darn good. One of those missed opportunities that makes you shake your head a little. But maybe that’s what reminded me to finally post again.

I’ll do better about showing up here. No promises on frequency or formality, just a quiet commitment to share more often. It’s good to be home.

Thanks for stopping by again—and if you’re seeing this with your morning coffee, I hope your day starts quietly and beautifully too.
